Barcolana 2025 – the 57th edition to remember for Armare Ropes. On the podium of Barcolana 57, presented by Generali, are three boats, three different stories, but one common denominator: they are all equipped with our high-performance technical ropes.

Barcolana 57: Arca’s triumphant finish in Trieste
For the Fast and Furio Sailing Team, this marks their third consecutive victory — fourth overall — in the most crowded regatta in the Mediterranean. A tactical and challenging race, marked by light winds and decisive choices between buoys 1 and 2, where Arca was able to set the pace from the very beginning. Just a few minutes behind, Marta 07, helmed by Marta Benussi with Thomas Zajak on tactics, achieved a historic second place, completing an unprecedented family double in Barcolana history. The young crew, all under 30, demonstrated extraordinary talent, determination, and competitive freshness — a clear sign of the future of Italian sailing.

Rounding out the podium is Prosecco Doc Shockwave 3, helmed by Mitja Kosmina with Michele Paoletti on tactics: the team managed to make up ground in the final stretch, demonstrating their experience and consistency, and showing why they have been a benchmark in Maxi racing for years. In addition to using our technical ropes, Shockwave 3 was fitted last June with a new PBO forestay developed specifically for this extraordinary Maxi.
With 1,865 boats on the start line and light but technical wind conditions, the 57th Barcolana offered a truly spectacular show in front of Trieste, confirming its reputation as a regatta that blends tradition, excitement, and top-level sport.
