SY Rosehearty is a 184 ft aluminium ketch
The third 56m-aluminium ketch created by Perini Navi, SY Rosehearty has been launched in the 2006. Rosehearty represents the ultimate evolution of the successful 56m-series whose architecture was optimised by Perini Navii n consultation with Ron Holland Design for high performance under sail. Construction of the 56-metre is entirely in aluminium, to optimise her displacement to 486 tonnes and assure speed with uncompromised comfort. Stability and windward performance are enhanced by a deep ballasted swing keel set within a shoal ballasted fixed keel. The hull-with sheerline, overhangs, and flying bridge that are hallmarks of Perini’s aesthetic style-supports accommodations that include an owners’ suite and five double guest staterooms. The main deck includes a small office in addition to the grand saloon and enclosed dining area.
The interior design created by the French designer Christian Liaigre is an original combination of classical marine tradition and contemporary elegance. The innovative use of space and materials adopted by Liaigre further enhances the traditional Perini Navi comfort. The 56 metre, with highly concentrated technology, is outfitted with servo-assisted sail control and furling, twin-screw propulsion, captive reel winches, Perini aluminium masts, and the latest in-boom furling for mainsail and mizzen.
For the first time, the two carbon-fibre booms are made in Perini Navi, thanks to the new carbon-fibre tunnel recently started up at the company’s facility in Viareggio.
