The perfect balance of luxury and adventure in a private charter yacht. Inukshuk (pronounced “in-ook-shook”) is a no expense spared, state-of-the-art sailing yacht, she is the winner of two awards at the ‘2014 Show Boat Awards’ ceremony and now she’s available for the first time on the luxury charter market.

The name of the boat. An inukshuk is a stone landmark used as a milestone or directional marker by the Inuit peoples of the Canadian Arctic.  The Arctic landscape, dominated by vast tracts of permafrost and tundra, has few natural landmarks. This lack of distinguishing landmarks makes navigation very difficult, and so the inuksuit (plural for inukshuk) became an important tool for navigation across the barren landscape of the north. The Inuit make inuksuit in different forms for a variety of purposes: as navigation or directional aids, to mark a place of respect or memorial for a beloved person, or to indicate migration routes or places where fish can be found.  These sculptural forms are among the oldest and most important objects placed by humans upon the vast Arctic landscape and have become a familiar symbol of the Inuit and of their homeland. Traditionally the inuksuit acted as a guide for a safe journey, and these ancient stone figures helped to guide people seeking their way through the barren wilderness of the Canadian north.

Built by Baltic Yachts in 2013, sailing yacht Inukshuk is the perfect balance of luxury and performance from bow to stern.  Designed by Naval Architect German Frers, Inukshuk features the ultimate in nautical comfort, speed and safety.
