Armare Ropes continues to be a benchmark in high-performance racing boats, thanks to its long-standing collaboration with the Melges 32 Europe Class. As Official Supplier, Armare provides the entire lateral standing rigging system for the highly competitive Melges 32 fleet. These custom-designed and engineered composite cables offer outstanding performance, extreme lightness, and maximum reliability.
Armare’s composite rigging is the result of years of research and innovation in rigging technology. Selected by the Melges 32 Europe Class for their ideal balance of weight and performance, Armare’s cables ensure top-level performance in all racing conditions, whether inshore or offshore.
The Armare technical team developed the lateral rigging system to maximize the qualities of PBO-Zylon® fibers, used in the construction of the cable cores through a continuous winding process. This seamless construction method delivers unprecedented stiffness and lightness for these boats. Each cable is finished with a Dyneema® protective cover, ensuring resistance and durability. The innovative HTS end fittings, designed to interface directly with the deck turnbuckles, further guarantee the precision and strength of the entire system.
